Time
The clock follows the Sun over Bonn
A Lilyan day uses Bonn solar midnight as its boundary.
Civil time changes date at midnight in a legal time zone. Lilyan time uses Bonn true midnight instead, so the date boundary belongs to a fixed place and to the Sun.
When the Sun reaches true midnight at Bonn, one Lilyan day ends and the next one begins. Your local civil clock may not show midnight at that instant, but the Lilyan date has changed.
The clock display keeps the familiar hour, minute, and second shape. The underlying day is still the real Bonn solar day, which changes length slightly through the year.
In short
- Bonn is the fixed reference place.
- The date boundary is Bonn true midnight.
- The displayed clock is fitted to that solar day.
